Same here!!

Our dyno reads really low. Stock IX's do around 230 on our dyno.

I wasn't too sure about it but after working with it for a while it is really starting to grow on me.

I think it would be a great DD as the interior is much better. We will see how it responds to mods and a tune.

Keep us updated, I don't want one either but it's still fun to watch the new progress

Mitch, you referenced "a tune." How do you plan to tune it?

Car just looks mean no doubt. I never liked the dualies though. Can't wait to see what does with the inevitable RS model. Give me a cat-back and a tune and I'd be happy.

I am not sure yet. I am getting the ECU wiring diagram and I am going to wire in a S-AFC just so I can lean it out a bit. Not the best thing in the world but that is all I have for now. We are almost done fabbing a bunch of parts for it and they should be all done tomorrow. I am curious to see the gains with an exhaust IC pipes Intake and perhaps a tune with the AFC ( If you can even call it that)

Mitch, as a long-time user of the SAFC, I'm aware that removing fuel with the SAFC has the somewhat uncontrollable effect of causing timing to increase. Are there no concerns about how this ECU will respond to such a change? I guess you'll remove fuel slowly and carefully just in case, but I would think it's a somewhat scary proposition on a brand new car.

I'm also a little surprised you're eager to put on IC pipes and intake when those are of so little help on the VIII/IX compared to an MBC and exhaust. You plan to do intake and IC pipes instead of modifying the boost levels?

These are things for now that we are going to get done. I am not sure the amount of boost we are going to be able to run. We are basically just trying to see what is going to work and what isn't. The IC pipe is about 40 feet long and we are going to try and get rid of some of the bottle necks in it to see if it works. If not then we will know for sure but there is only one way to find out.

We are going to do an exhaust as well as a boost controller, but I would feel better putting at least 100miles on it.

I will keep you posted and we will just have to see what happens.

It is a nice car. It is a little more refined I guess I would say. Seats are sweet and the interior is much nicer. Has a pretty decent sound system in it from the factory.

Nice car for sure.

How does it feel, meaning power, car pulling off the line, compared to a stock 9??

Is it a 5 speed GSR?

Yes it is the 5spd GSR.

It feels pretty good. First gear is nothing to special but it pulls pretty well for a stock car. I would say a bit more oomph than a bone stock 9, not by much but a little.

Tomorrow I will be working with a guy to try and get the ROM file off of it and then with the help of a couple guys try and get is all disassembled so that we can try and get ECUflash to work with it. This will take a little bit I am sure but I am glad that we can try and make it work.

I will let you guys know,
Mitch
