60s were suckin donkey nuts. My first one was a 1.75, which turned into an 11.88 (not bad for first run off the highway and almost 3 tenths quicker than my best ever at PMI, but it sucks that was my BEST 60' of the night. I then ran 3 straight runs with increasing traps, and all were 11.8s but with worse 60's in the 1.76-1.79 range. The 4 times were 11.88, 11.89, 11.84, and 11.88. I'm ecstatic about being that consistent and powerful in spite of poor 60's, but I will remain unimpressed until I can get the DRs on and hook for real.

Henry, great job getting out there and nutting up to do some real launches. I'm sorry that I didn't realize you were unsure how launch control worked, but once you understood, you did much better. Great work.

Iboost, thanks...she was running strong, and my nasty shifting has returned 100%.

Which car will you be in? The Z?

Glad your friends enjoyed it - the Evo was really running strong.

I'd like to give big UPs to two specific people for today's events:

1) Tobz for tuning my Evo into a monster like it's never been before. It's not just making power, but it's reliable and consistent. I ran those four 11.8s within 5 hundredths of a second of each other back-to-back in 80* weather with INCREASING trap speeds. I have now gone to the drag strip 3 straight times since he got his hands on it and have been ripping off run after run without hesitation, delay, hiccup, or issue. It also ripped ass on the road course showing that it's not so on the edge that it can't be trusted beyond some drag passes.

2) Big E (Erich) for all the stuff he did for me today just out of his own kindness and desire to help. From the tire errands to storing my junk at the track to bringing my fuel jug when I needed it, he was an invaluable asset as my "pit crew" all day tonight. Thanks a lot, bud...it was much more fun for me because of it.

There were only 2 Evos - myself and Rahku (Henry - yellow VIII). I only hit 11.8s, but I sure wish I hit 11.5s!

Glad to hear the texting mafia was out in force tonight!

No problem man!! Glad to have helped. Made my day more useful and fun. Now I'm just itching to get the twin disc in.

My wife was like ... when I came home and told her I needed to get my clutch in. Started yelling at me for racing and blowing my clutch up before I could even say anything to the contrary.

Doh, hopefully she calmed down when you told her you definitely weren't racing.

Change your profile.

I had 3 1Gs that all went 12.5 or quicker. It was a '91 Plymouth Laser RS-T (fwd, not awd) that got me hooked when I test drove it while looking for my first car. I couldn't get it at that time, but I made a point to purchase a 1G awd as soon as I paid off my first car. The rest is history...

Here is a vid, albeit blurry, of my run against Scuba_Steve - heckuva battle. He was only on 17psi with the GT35R and built motor, since they just got it put back together earlier in the evening. He STILL manages to trap 120 even with the low boost. He hit 10.9 @ 130 before this recent build, so it should be nasty.

nice nice, im thinking about the 35r for my turbo, or an fp-red. it has an 18g on it now. but its only temporary. did you like the 35r? and did you keep it a 2.0 or did you stroke it?

The IX on my Evo is the largest turbo I've ever had. The 35R referenced above is the STi in that vid...
