No that is not legal. at least from a legal stand point it is but it works for some cops. One day the will get rid of that fron plate.

If you don't put your front plates on then your just asking for trouble. Colorado state requires that you have front plates. I've never been profiled or such but I've seen COPS follow me for a couple of miles to see what I would do. It's nice to have a nice radar/laser detector.

Got pulled over twice in my old riced out Accord.

Been running the Evo plateless for over 4 years, no issues (except for when I was parked in Boulder). They have serious Parking Naziis there!

Good idea on the plugs! Don't need them for the VIII but my Tacoma just has holes in the bumper.

All the times that I have been pulled over they just gave me a warning, it is hit or miss with it. A lot of it has to do with the fact that we drive "Fast Cars", my dad has not had a front plate for 15 years on his Lexus and has never been pulled over. It's pretty ###.......
+1 on "don't park in downtown Denver on the street w/o a front plate"... nearly guaranteed ticket.

As for getting popped for no front plate while driving, I don't think it has anything to do with having a "fast car," it's called "vehicular profiling."

Pulled over many times for no front plate with my lowered Honduhs.

Never in my BMW M3 or Corvette Z06 when I had them... I never had a front plate on either of those cars as well.
