got pulled over for no front plate last night

Hey guys,

I have been driving the evo for about 1.5 years with no front plate, and this was bound to happen. I got pulled over 2 blocks from my house last night for no front plate. He actually only gave me a warning, but got me a ticket for no proof of insurance. I came back from vacation and forgot to put all the stuff back into my wallet!!.... Now, I have to go to court to show them. Do they really think, I would drive a almost 40K car without insurance!!! ... oh well.....
Have you guys had any issues with this around here?

I've never had a problem with not having my front license plate, but there is this thing cops do called racial profiling and if you're even the slightest dark colored tone the probablility of geting pulled over dramatically increases. It's complete bullsheit, and is still a huge issue no matter where you go. Sorry bout the ticket. I had to go to court cause I still had an out of state license. It's a pain in the azz.

Oh yeah, you have a girl in the car and the chances of getting a ticket go through the roof. Cops love showing who's boss when there's a lady involved. I think it's cause they need a pair...

Ummmm yea, they see us with a fast car that is nicer then thier own car they think we are up to something. That is why he really pulled you over to check you out, you know warrants and other things. Grapejuice got pulled over for that too. I still will not put it on I think they are a waste of my money so it stays in the trunk.

I was pulled over three times in my old WRX for no front plate (once in Idaho Springs), three times in my EVO and got a ticket just put on my car for it when I was parked downtown, don't park downtown on the street w/out a front plate. All the times that I have been pulled over they just gave me a warning, it is hit or miss with it. A lot of it has to do with the fact that we drive "Fast Cars", my dad has not had a front plate for 15 years on his Lexus and has never been pulled over. It's pretty ###.......

I was pulled over 6 weeks ago for no plate on the evo. It was in Lakewood and he only gave me a ticket for no current proof of insurance (my card was out of date).

I've never had a front plate on any car for the last 8 years and have only gotten a ticket for it once in Douglas county. I wont ever put a front plate on.

Yep don't park on side streets because you will definately get a ticket for that. I got pulled over without front plates and received a $70 fine. Still doesn't keep me from keeping it off on any of my cars.
