haha evo's with plate = gross (no offense to those who actually abide by the laws!)
i run front plate.... only cause there is 3 holes behind it if i take it off , i am thinking about taking it off and plug it up. it's not the law, it's the damn holes! lol
I found some plastic plugs at home depot in the hardware section.. then painted them black to match the car. They have a bunch of different sizes, so I just bought a few different sizes since they were cheap and used the ones that fit best.
To the OP, I haven't been pulled over for no front plate but I did get a "no insurance" ticket once when I forgot to put my current card in the car. In Aurora I had to get a letter from my insurance company, they wouldn't accept the current card. And I had to pay the ~$20 court fee also which kind of pissed me off since I didn't really do anything wrong. At least I didn't get a speeding ticket that time though.
The plastic plug thing is a cinch, I used the same method on my trunk to cover the holes left from the Wing. It's about the best you can do without bondo and repaint.
I was going through the gate the other day and the security forces guy asked me where my front plate was. I told him that I have Montana plates and they only issue one. It's a lie of course but he didn't know any better. Whenever I drive home I throw the front plate up in the windshield. They only give out one set of stickers so it's pretty pointless to have two plates in MT. Maybe I should write my congressman and ask why we're wasting money on two plates?
