Haha Joy, I failed emissions!

haha ya....
so i still have the stock cat with a downpipe and a catback and wow i failed!
the people there were trying to hard to get me to pass too... they didn't even put the exhaust thing over the exhaust! they laid it on the ground a bit away from the exhaust and miss karmen still decided to fail! went back to the shop and had chris put on the stock downpipe and catback so hopefully she passes tomorrow. damn evo's!!

I dont understand MISSEVO. Says you have the stock pipes on and failed, but then put your stockpipes back on. ??????????

Do you have your emission sheet? To high Hydrocarbons?? Was the car warm or hot when they performed the test?

ok sheesh i don't know how to explain. when i did the emissions today i had a hks dp and catback on.... i didn't have a test pipe in so there was still the cat. i thought it would pass with just that cat but apparently the HC's were too high... almost a whole point over the limit....

just the thing on the exhaust. nothing is really done to it... previous owner has a SAFC but it was taken out... don't know what would be causing it to run rich

Oh Lord, how many more people do we have running around modded and untuned? That's scary.

Sounds like now since Chris put everything back to stock, exhasut that is, then you should have no problem passing.

You might be very surprised- and it seems to be a growing trend as people sell of thier modded or partially modded cars.

MISSEVO if you want I can likely get your car sorted out and pass the emissions, we just had the exact same issue with a much more modded EVO and it was no issue really to get it through. If it is as simple as I think it is theres no charge for the service.
