I Have come to a cross road....

So I have had so much fun in my car... and it just keeps gettin more fun everyday.
But I need to go faster. So far I have done some work to it, and some more to come. but by the end of this year (maybe even before summer) I wanna go faster due to recent events. I have figured out of the group of people I am assiciated with I am SLOW... So they are all on up graded turbos and what not and I am on the stock one still.
So I have been lookin a at few things, but I need more power. and just to be WAY faster.

So What do you guys think I should do? I was looking at Full-Race's GT4088R Kit, but that is $7,000 just for a turbo, but it would make good power, So what do you guys think I should do.

I need more power...I need to be quicker...and I need it to be more reilable. some what.

So give me some imput. I wanna break the 500whp mark soon, as I am hoping to break the 400 so as well.

Give me some imput guys, and tell me what I need.

List what mods you already have... that will help.
plus, if you don't have fueling etc. you will need that too before you should run bigger turbo... plus, a tune
also... a clutch (tranny) that can handle the power since most of us know how the stock clutch goes....

A GT40 the lag is going to be huge even with a TS. ETS is sellign some great kits for under 3000. brand new also. There is always the FP Green and evo IX turbo which are cheaper and get you over 400. But in my own opinion do it right the first time. Set a HP goal and get the kit you need to get you there. For me 650-700 is my goal my 35R will get me there and then once I do the NOS I will be over it. This is also when I do my 2.4.

You wouldn't need the GT4088R kit from Full-Race to break the 500 mark.. you can break the 500 mark with the 30R if you run racegas or close to breaking it with E85 like Lucas. It all depends on what is important to you just straight WHP or torque is more important? If you want to break the 500 mark and produce good toque then you're going to need a stroker rebuild. 35R+meth will break 500, ask Josh hes somewhere around at that level right now, but anywhere over 500 on the stock bottom end and theres a higher chance you're gonna blow.

So, stroker kit to keep things safe...what about doing the 2.4? Is that strictly upper end?

well stroker is to produce more torque by increasing displacement but with a stroker rebuild you rebuild the engine so yea you can say its safer

it doesn't necessarily mean you're entailed to it, I suppose to you can just get your bottom end built without a stroker there are plenty of people doing that just reinforcing the 2.0 bottom end to handle high horsepower

Cool, I gotcha. Well, as Josh says, if you're gonna do something, do it right the first time. I'll most likely wait to do the entire rebuild at one time...once I start getting out of the hole from last summer's mods...lol.

I've checked out a few of ETS turbo kits in person, mainly at Lucas's shop and their quality is top notch. A 35R will help you break 550 no problem

Bigger Turbo doesn't neccesarily mean quicker. Bigger you go the longer it's gonna take to spool. So it depends if you want a really quick car or one that's just going to make a lot of power. Personally I'd go with the FP Green. quicker spool up and higher compression, basically your stock turbo on steriods.

Here's some options:

- Bore to 2.3L
- Stroker Kit
- Forged Pistons
- Aftermarket Manifolds
- AftermarketTurbo
- Aftermarket Intercooler
- Replace Upper and Lower I/C piping to 3" Diameter
- Replace Head Gasket
- And of course the Tornado

The Tornado is the shizzle. Instant 1000 in/lbs of torque.

All the parts on my car are ETS items. There's a reason for that...

Let me know when you're about to order. I'll speak with Tom about getting you a discount through CEvoC.

Cheers-
E
