Anyone know someone who is into auto painting? I'm looking to have a set of carbon fiber fenders painted to the cars stock color in a few weeks and was looking to get an estimate from them.
Also, before it's even recommended, I am NOT interested in having it done by HRD.
APEX auto body... they are AMAZING... little bit more pricey but you get what you pay for... color match perfectly and use high quality expensive paint... their shop is sick too!! had a custom wide body wrx in there about a month ago...
HRD=Horsepower Research and Development. The owner recently got onto this forum. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to have him do ANY auto work. If anybody wants to know more, I'll pm them links to some of his greatest hits.
Street Dreams... The guy you want to talk to Sean Sprinkle. Or Zico.
They are off Plate and Boulder (think, im not too good with streets) if you go down plate after cricle, you see auto zone they are like right by that, there is a used car dealer ship next to auto zone, and they are across from that.
they have a bunch of hondas in front, with a yellow 92 rx7 in there. and they have like a blue escalade with a body kit and crap on it.
Well I am sorry you feel that way, but its OK man.
If you want a REAL high-quality job I can highly recommend 3R-Auto, they can be reached at 303-781-0774. EDIT: BTW if you tellthem I sent you there they might try harder to fit you in, but remember it is race season and they are busy, like the rest of us.
If you are looking for "just ok", but still nice, the fellows over at Nylunds Autobody in Englewood off Dartmouth are really pretty good, but they are an insurance shop so thier prices are going to be a little high.
I can also recommend this fellow Dave, who is in the same buildign Carz is in, as someone who does very good work. Sorry I Have no other information on how to reach him.
One of my SRT-8 fellows has a damned good show-quality painter, but I would have to make a call or two to get more information.
Sorry I know of no one in CO Springs to send you to.
