Why are you advertising that here? You do realize that's a direct competitor of this site and that both time and money were spent to build what we have here? RMEVO is the whole reason there is even a consolidated Evo community in the Rocky Mountain region now - there was nothing before it. Have some respect and show some decency. Enjoy that forum all you want, but don't blatantly advertise it here - not in posts NOR in your signature.
That's very rude, and I don't know why you or anyone would think it's ok to do it.
Sdfontanini, I don't know who you are or why you think it's ok to BLATANTLY disregard the forum rules _AND_ the forum moderator, but you will be dealt with in a manner equivalent to your insubordination. How hard is it to just have decency and not show blatant disregard for the site that started the whole RM Evo community? Seriously, is it that hard?
Erich, I don't know you'd call this "butt hurting." You purposely made that site due to your dislike of how this one was moderated (or lack thereof due to new management that doesn't seem to pay any attention). You have splintered the community and have caused this issue. I do not speak negatively about your other site nor try to convince people of one over the other. The only thing I ask is that it not be mentioned or advertised here unless you want to cough up the funds to be a sponsor and pay for all the fees to keep Evotuners.net running. Otherwise, please keep your cronies from acting like fools and doing things like this sdfontanini kid has done.
I'm going to address a few of your points and be done with it...
1) CEvoC was formed as a club for Colorado's Evo Owners. The key word here is CLUB. If you would have shown up at the Dyno Day, you would have a learned a few things about me and what I made this website for. I blatantly explained to people that were there was that there is NO CEvoC vs. RMEvo attitude.
2) You say that I have "splintered" the community. This is a flat out LIE on all accounts. I have done NOTHING to that effect. I think you had more to do with splintering the community than you care to admit.
3) I don't encourage people to choose one site over the other. That is the most outrageous statement I have heard you make to me ever.
4) I don't see the big issue with advertising or mentioning a site on here. I am making NO money off my site. Zip, nada, none, nothing... Contrary to your beliefs, I have not endorsed nor encouraged any one to "advertise" my site over here. Yes, I am guilty for having it in my sig but that's about as far as I have taken it. So for you to ask me to reign in my "cronies" (nice label of you to use about someone you don't know), I cannot force someone to do something against their will. Sounds a lot like you like to manipulate people and dictate what they do to your liking. I'm far from it...
5) I will not become a "vendor" of this site because 1) I do not sell anything, 2) I will not put money into the coffers of those that have this kind of attitude 3) I'm not in this to make any kind of money.
6) Instead of being such a brash and abrasive person, maybe you should see what CEvoC has to offer as a CLUB instead of going off on a tantrum and being the school yard bully.
I cannot tell you how many people are VERY happy about my ability to bring them a forum to openly discuss things without a brash and abrasive person hindering their ability to do so.
I can tell that you are NOT very open to change and/or new ideas. This is very evident in the way you post and the way you "moderate".
How hard is it to just have decency and not show blatant disregard for the site that started the whole RM Evo community? Seriously, is it that hard?
Just my $.02 but sounds a little hypocritical coming from someone who has made quite a few un-decent, and out of his place comments about people and things they post. Take that how you will. I myself have been to erich's website and like it very much...however as he stated there is no type of competition between the two websites. RMEvo is a fantastic website and alot of people have helped me a ton since my joining, and thats what makes a good website. Not the moderators and how they do their jobs but the people who actually make up the forum, and their attitudes towards others. That history of it not being a typical forum where all you get are "use the search newb" responces, is something that a new website made for a closer more secluded group of evo owners can not take away from it. Be it as it may that someone posted about the new website on here, makes me wonder, did you guys do nothing of the sort when RMEvo first came about? Or was it a hidden jewl that everybody just happend to stumble upon. IMO let them do their thing, and you keep doing yours. Everyone lives happily ever after.
