Mexico City

Hello All,

I am about to get on a plane to go to Mexico City. I am tuning an Evo 9 for a race through Mexico City.

I wanted to start a thread so that I can update pics. This Evo is no joke. Full caged, Cosworth Long Block, 18x11 HRE Wheels,AEM EMS, Brembo Monoblocks and a lot more.

Stay tuned for some more info.

Well we were in mid turn so it just felt like someone hit the corner of the car and it locked up all 4 wheels and we went sliding into the grass missing a wall. Had it happened in the straight with cars or in mexico city on the highway the night before it would have been real bad.

They forgot to put fluid in it is what I think the case to be. I pulled the drain plug out on the TC and I got 2 drips of fluid and a lot of metal lol.

Air quality, no. Air density, of course. Mexico City is very high up. I would say it is probably higher than Denver if you can believe that.

The only thing I could think is that there is a raised level of carbon monoxide in the air due to the air quality it could slightly hinder performance as it will take away from effective oxygen in the air, thus making less power just due to a poor oxygen content in combustion. BUT I dont think that there is enough carbon monoxide to do that, AND if there were people in Mexico City would have much much bigger problems than there car not being fast lol.
