I know, I know... who wants to go all the way down to La Junta for a track day?
Clayton I thought you'd make it at least for one of the days. In any case, it was a pretty good event and Dave is dropping the next La Junta event in favor of adding a 3rd Pueblo event in November. Hopefully we'll get some EVOs out there then and the next one in July.
Let's schedule an RMEVO meet for the next Pueblo event - July 21 or 22. I'll provide some drinks and we can give away some raffle prizes. What do you think?
As of right now, I am planning on going to Pueblo the 14th & 15th of July. Where do I sign up because I need to go on Saturday for the class as well. I've looked around a bit but haven't found where to sign up.
Nick, what are you doing on the 14th/15th? Is that the SCCA event? i would recommend skipping that and doing the NASA, because you get a personal instructor the whole weekend, more track time, no work assignment, and a proper progression through HPDE instead of going straight to TT without learning how to pass.
Chris, I really can't do anything. Doing one day with a 4hr round trip just doesn't do it for me when I know my TT points mean nothing, and I won't be able to qualify for Nats. I'm focused on autox, because I _CAN_ do Nats for that. It's pretty much all I can fit in...
Yeah the 14th and 15th is the SCCA event, I didn't know that there was a NASA event the week later, so I guess I'll do that instead. Any idea of what the cost is so I can set aside money for it?
Clay, I'll need break pads before then, what do you recommend? I still have my stock pads... Good luck this Saturday, I was planning on going till my car developed a strange noise/vibration on Tuesday night and didn't get it figured out till last night, the rear motor mount bolt fell out...darn body shop. Plus my wheels haven't shown up yet.
There's actually lots of suitable pads out there. I personally run the Hawk HP+, which is Hawk's most aggressive street pad without being a full race pad. They are wonderful on track, and they have no trouble warming up on the street. I don't even have trouble with them in autox where you pretty much run cold. They also don't have a squeaking problem due to my liberal application of grease on the backing plate.
Should be about $220 for the PMI event (2 full days). Actually, I am unable to use my Fast Pass that has 3 events left on it. If you plan to do 3 NASA events, then you could buy that from me for $600, which would save $60-80, or if you aren't sure and just want to do one event, you could buy 1 use of my Fast Pass for $200 and save $20. Let me know...

Bummer, so you're not going to do any Pueblo days either?
Maybe 1, but probably not if I want to be able to do SCCA Auto-X Nats. Nats are in September, so maybe I'll do one of the PMI days in November, since the autox season will be over.

As of now, I'm just planning to go to the one event, so I could buy the one from you.
