Moving....again

So I thought Gunnison was going to be a good town to live in...not really. I'm sick of the small town deal and need to be around a big city. So instead of trekking across the US again I figure I would move to the Denver area.

So what I need to know is what is a decent part of town that has decent rent prices and a good place to look for jobs, is workforce up there?. I probably wont move until the spring since my car is completely buried in snow. Oh also I need to live in a place that doesn't have emissions or I can always keep my FL plates on the car since my address is still good down there.

Well the emissions thing will be the springs other wise you will have to keep it reg. in FL. Also Denver is ok on rent. It ranges for good places it is about $700 to $1200. Denver is a good place I love it here. you really don't want to live downtown( 5 Points) is a bad place for your car....lol. Thorton, Denver, Westminster, Arvada, Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood. All good places Even Aurora is getting nicer. Just pick a price and go with that. In Denver you are also really close to alot of things. The springs is nice but to get to Denver it is about hour and half drive, P.S. I make it in an Hour sometimes 45mins....lol

defenitly keep your florida registration. not only you dont have to deal with emisions there but its also WAY cheaper to register your car there than it is here. i lived in florida for almost 10years and i remember it being only like $40 a year for registration on my car (not the evo, but an equally expensive car) while now here in Co i just paid $400 to register mine (its a 2006). i will probably end up registering my car in my brother's address next fall.

not even just that but you dont need to have a front plate there and since the laws there are a little different than here you can get away with darker window tints and that kinda stuff by just saying you're from out of state and your state is different!

Thats what I was wondering. I know about paying a "tax" when going from FL to CO plates is by the value of the car. Stupid if you ask me.

only thing is that the "tax" has to be paid everyyear, not just when going from Fl to Co! i bought the evo here in Co, and the first time i had to register it i paid over $500 and the second time which was a month ago was like $370. so it goes down a little every year, but in Fl its just like $40 no matter what car you drive. well i guess thats the only good thing florida got going for itself!

make sure you look at the places you want to rent in person, some of them are pricey and still in a not so good part of town.

and my evo got stolen from aurora, so I don't like that area anymore

littleton, lakewood area get my vote, lived here since '89
