Stoptec Rotors Slotted Rear and Front,
And Hawk Pads front rear, and

Sounds like a nice upgrade. I'll be following a very similar upgrade path with my brakes. The Hawk pads are good pads if you're looking for a mild street pad.

If you (or anyone else) wants some 4K mile old stock brakes let me know. I just happen to know where you can get yourself some very gently used rotors and pads.

Those are good rotors and I like those pads better then the ones I went with. I got Brebro Rotors and Project MU pads all the way around. Sounds like you know what you want.

Heres what i decided to get for my new Brakes

Hawk hps front/rear pads
Stoptech front two piece un-drilled unslotted rotors
stock rear rotors

they stop great, and my pads wont be gone in a month like the last time I had slotted rotors.

OP - How much did all those parts cost? Which vendor did you go through?

I plan on doing the same stuff when mine start giving out.

Whats the average life for brakes on our cars? Without any tracking that is. I just hit 10K, so I'm wondering how much longer I have.

I believe the service interval is 23k, so you have a while. for referance, with my old car, pads (with track use) lasted 15k with blank rotors, and 6-7k with slotted rotors.

Yes I did get slotted. So I will have a problem with pad life with slotted rotors?

I'm at 28k and they need to be replaced, not bad but it's my next thing once I pay off my clutch. That is with some auto-x races too.

I just hate them . They tear up pads, they are potentially weaker, and make lots of noise while braking. if you use them for anything else than street driving, yes your pad life will be greatly compromised. with slotter rotors my pad life was effectively cut in half

OK, BUT PADS ARE CHEAPER THEN NEW ROTORS? YES OR NO?
