LOL don't get mad at me buddy. Invidia, GT Spec...they look exactly alike so FORGIVE my ignorance. And I don't recall seeing ANY silver Evo there (granted I was only there Saturday).
My car was there, but not in the show. What's your point? I didn't even plan on coming to the show until after registration was closed. If you doubt that ask JohnEB how many times I said I should have entered. Have I spent a lot of money on my car? Yup, more than I probly should have but that's my concern, not yours. I didn't build my car to show it off in a hot-ass parking lot, I built it to drive. Trophies don't really mean squat to me. Why am I bagging on the SC team? Because the 4 Evo's they had parked next to each other all seem to share the same parts give or take some. Where's the originality in that? I never said they had to throw a lot of money at their cars, but originality is much better than a bunch of Evo's sporting the same mods.
Nick you sound a little butt-hurt by my comments. Suggest you just brush it off cause it doesn't really matter. I wasn't a judge in the show so my opinion doesn't mean squat (unless of course you have a chip on your shoulder about Street Concepts).
What time were you there? I was there till about 6:30 and I know my friend with the silver Evo was there a few hours after I left. Not trying to pick a fight here, but you could have registered at the gate like I did and the main reason I went was to help promote the shop (plus it was cheaper to show for the weekend since I sold my second weekend pass to a friend). I know that I don't have a show car and it is not meant to be one. And yes I agree that we do all have similiar mods, and not to tute my own horn but I've been meaning to get rid of the SSQV for a while because everyone else has done it now and I know it's no the best thing for my car, but I can't just change it out because the flange is welded to the IC pipe.
It's not that I'm butt hurt about it, I just hate people who bash people for what they like and especially when they aren't totaly correct, Invidia and GT Spec mani's look nothing alike by the way. But, whatever, I would still like to meet you and see what you have done with your car, sounds like a lot...
Yeah, SC is a bunch of good guys, but they are getting behind the curve with Evo modification.
HKS SSQV + HKS Intake + SAFC should be JDM MR DV + $80 cone filter (or stock) + EcuFlash.
I'm getting closer Warr I have a flash now, I'm getting a cone filter because my HKS filter broke and am planning on doing a custom recirc. line with the Forge RS.... BTW, anyone have a Forge RS that wants to sell it to me?
LOL...the only thing Street Concepts represented was GT Spec manifolds and HKS SSQV BOV's. In my opinion there were only two Evo's that were well thought out and built. JohnEB's was one and the stock GG IX MR SE was the other!
I only got to see the first day and I was impressed with a few of the drifters and even fewer of the women. I suppose my expectations of the event were left a little wanting. Oh well, decent show and some nice cars/boobs to look at.
Hey I think my evo looked f***ing awesome. I know it's not fully built...but it has simple mods, full suspension, race seats, harness bar, harness, cams, injectors......and some VOLKS!!! And it took 2nd place.....so I am doing something right.
And the GG IX was my friend Chris....Mine ws the WW evo next to it.

I was there when the gates opened and left at 8:30 after the 1st round of the swimsuit comp. Never once saw a silver Evo. But then again I didn't go back to the show area after the drift qualifying rounds.
The reason why I didn't register when I got there was because I had just driven 110 miles and my car was covered in bugs/dust. I had no intentions of wandering aimlessly for a carwash and then having to purchase a bunch of cleaning products to detail my ride. It's not the reason why I went to the show. It's just not my thing.
And you're right, the manifolds don't look the same but hey, it's been over a year since I've seen a GT Spec so in my memory that's what it was. I wouldn't say I was bashing your crew, more like pickin on you guys for having similar mods (including mods that are just crappy for Evo's) It's cool you represented your shop/crew and if any of them won a trophy congrats.
Whenever we get the dyno day set up I'll make plans to be at that. Come on out and I'll be more than happy to show/talk you through my mods.

Cool, I saw that one and was admiring the wheels. Not a big fan of the hood, but that's your choice.
i like that white evo, lol i was looking for u smokey and talk about ur car and how u have ur MBC set up. but u seem like no where to be found. i went back like 4 time just to look at it. ahahah.
BTW, anyone have a Forge RS that wants to sell it to me?
