I don't think anyone had the balls to "race in the parking lot" after seeing how shitty that parking lot was in the first place...
They must have been at a different meet....
Cheers-
E
I think old boy there with the snow plow front lip would have definatly raced someone. lol anybody that said they raced in that parkinglot is an effin idiot. i didnt even like going 3mph in it...thought i was going to loose my zip-tied exhaust.
They were just upset that they didn't start doing it first.
The last "pirates" meet I went to this time last year had a "cruise" afterwards to Idaho springs for pizza. once all the "mature, responsible pirates" got through Evergreen, it was a free-for-all with weaving through traffic, and 3 lane drag racing, and general unsafe behaviour. The drive over Mt. Evans was driven at a brisk pace by me and Josh (Uterus), and all the pirates had already caused enough trouble on the road to have cops waiting at all available locations on the road from the halfway point.... And this was led by the event organizer who handed out maps beforehand stating in bold print at the top "THIS IS A CRUISE, DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT!!!"
so you have to be kidding me that the old and new pirates have such Vastly different values regarding maturity and safety.
and for the record, I wasn't all that fond of seeing anyone rip up and down the road, in any car, it's gonna get us all banned from being able to meet up there without being hassled constantly. and I really like RR.

This, is exactly the reason people aren't happy. No matter what they drive, they put everyone else in a position to not be able to return to something thats been going on for years without problems. And it might sound somewhat far fetched, but I've seen it happen before...it wouldnt be all that hard for JefCo PD or Sheriff to come block the exits, and write 200 tickets for "participating in a street race" since they'll issue tickets to people who just watched and we all know a lot of cops will take any chance they can to piss on import drivers

I would love to see them hand me such ticket... I'd be on the phone with my lawyer faster than he could write that ticket... Being guilty and getting the ticket is one thing, giving "200" tickets because they felt like it is another thing.

The same thing happened a couple years ago when a Honda-tech red rocks meet just happened to coincide with an awdpirates meet.
All the guys on pirates were pissed that the Honda "ricers" would ruin the meet with "ricer" behavior and such. I watched over a dozen subarus haul ass through the park and give bov salutes while every Honda was well behaved.
The pirates went on their cruise but Troy and I decided to stay and hang out with the Hondas.
Now I've meet some awesome people on awdpirates and have made a few friends from there, so Im not talking bad about most of them, but several of the more outspoken ones are quote hypocritical.
I had a great time. I had to leave early and did not see any of the activity being frowned on. With the number of attendees it is not a surprise that there are many different views of what was good and bad. Its 2008 and there is only one kind of Pirate left. They tend to be more sensitive, but they can sure decorate your house! Once they quit bashing us they will get back on topic of spring fashion. LOL
I would love to see a meet this size at Pueblo motor sport park. Then we can bash anyone driving too slow, as it should be. Seriously, we should have a track day. Maybe after a few dyno meets and everyone is dialed in we can get the track for a day or two. Heck, Id camp at the park for a weekend event. Roast marshmellows on my turbo manny! Woot
lol, give me one of their numbers, i have been told my place could use some decorating.
Great idea about a track day. That would be a hoot.

Hey Vindogg tell your woman thanks for coming to the meet she calmed me down we I talked to the manager. He payed my tab....lol
I'll let her know, she's going to set up a profile soon so she'll be able to speak on her own behalf. For the record she said she had a great time and thought everyone was cool as sh**!!! Problem is that now she wants me to get a cf hood and paint it like Bams and Tobz was so nice that she now want him tuning the car (long dirve)! Why can't you guys just be D**ks to her and save me some money...LOL
I will let her know she has all of your support ! And yes, she holds her own rather well...I have bruises to prove it...wait...I mean I fell, yeah that's it...
