That's a helluva upgrade Bams....double current price for an Evo X.
If I am going to dream up my dream car that is it. Plus if you are dreaming Dream BIG. That thing is sexy and fast as hell. Plus the power plant can take alot..... I will buy used any ways if I do go for it. Just because they always screw the first year over they come out. Also Wait for the bugs to be worked out. Same thing I did on the VIII.

BTW, if anyone reads Motortrend there was a jackhole who demolished a brand new GTR in Malaysia because he apprantly turned off the traction control and slid it right into a street lamp pole.
Like I said..it's too bad Nissan had to shoot for Porsche, Vette, Viper territory. They would've sold a lot more of these had they targeted the Evo/STi crowd.
I wanna know how long it's gonna be before somebody does a drivetrain swap into a G37 or 350Z....
But the GTR was never meant to target towards the EVO/STI crowd. It's was in a class of it's own. They never used the GTR for rally racing. They mostly used it to road race.
I'm waiting for 2010 to pick up a new one. I'm not doing what I did with the EVO. I was one of the earlier folks that special ordered their 03 EVO 8 and paid a hefty price but that's because I've been waiting since 1991. I've been waiting for the GTR for a while too but I will wait till all the camotion is over. Just like the the Ford Mustange GT500, now ppl can buy them for $45k, unlike when it first came out the dealers were asking $70k.
The dealer mark up would still be 35% or more....LOL
I bought my 03 in spring of 04 after everyone who HAD to have one spent a premium penny on it. I walked away with mine under MSRP so I think I did well.
As for this car, I really doubt it's going to depreciate too much over the next couple years due to the income class that it targets. $70 grand is just too much in my opinion to spend on a hopped up 350Z. (once again, just my opinion)
They are selling it for $130k because it's the first one here and I believe someone is in the process of buying it! Oh boy, what people will do the be the FIRST to own somethin! haha
