Trust me, I love my wife....

So back around the middle of december the wife was driving the Evo in the snow, which is good because its a lot better in the snow than the BMWobbly. She drives around allll day with no issues shopping with her friends, and ends up out in Castlerock. On her way home, however, its really snowing and shes a bit nervous, but shes doing just fine until the car in front of her stops, causing her to hit the brakes and ooops! She starts sliding. Now, she does have the presence of mind enough to turn the wheel and almost stop the slide, but.... she ends up managing to slide the nose of the Evo down the concrete divider wall. OUCHHHH!!! Scraped the nose pretty good, and eventually we founf the headlight mounting tab was broken along with some of the plastic bits behind the bumper. The front fender also had a very minor bit of damage needing a small amount of massaging back into place. fortunately there was absolutely no serious damage, pretty much all cosmetic, and my wife and her friend were completely unhurt which is the most important thing of all!
So the insurance company comes out and looks at it, writes me up a quote, and we throw it in the paint shop to get'er done. The estimate came out to about 2600 bucks, including a new headlight housing and some plastic bits that were broken.

Fast forward to today:
Car is almost done, and it would have been done a cpl weeks ago had I not been in China when some important decisions needed to be made Rather than go back to an E8 front bumper I went with the E9 fascia and APR lip/splitter painted body colour. Since we had the car in the booth, I also had the guys go ahead and fix any scratches, dents or dings they found, which turns out to be everything except the passengers door and the side skirts! I also had the rear wing re-cleared with one of the best clears on the market, even thought I could have had it replaced under warranty. Most people who saw my car thought is was really pretty clean because it had no major dents etc, but literally every other panel had a scratch, small ding, etc on it, and my car only has 38k miles, and all of the dings were on it when I bought it with 15k miles! We think the original owner must have left the car in an airports long-term parking or something to get the scratches and tiny little dings in it.
All thats left is a minor repair to a crash bar brace and to remount the nose and its all set! Wouldnt even be waiting but I had to fax the insurance company a supplemental invoice since thier original estimate was about $800 short, and I am sure not paying it out of my pocket!
I will post pics when its done, huge thanks go to Chance, my painter guy who found every single dent, ding, low spot, etc and had turned out a car that is better now than the day I bought it!

Yeah I was just in the booth checking it over and the job is really pretty well done, it is being wetsanded and buffed over the next few days and then its going home and parked inthe garage for about 2-3 weeks for the paint to fully harden. Once thats done its getting XPEL paint protection film immediately so I dont have to go through this again for a long while!

No, and the 240 wouldnt have looked like the 240 had the guy not picked up the car before it was ready.

The EVO right now looks better than it ever has, and its not even coloursanded or buffed! I cant wait for Chance to finish it out and put the front end back together.

As far as hookups- Yeah I can work with you. I am going to re-clear Tommys rear wing for him for a decent price later this week with a much better clear than what the OEM is, so it wont peel off again. We can of course do body kits, bumpers etc.. Here is a real example of our work- and YES that is a perfect paint match on a 16 year old RED paintjob. 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center
Chance is the painter here, and we are both able to quote jobs but he does all the actual scheduling. If you talk to him for a quote and for some reason I am not there just tell him that you are from RMEVO and he will cut you the deal. We use PPG paints and can match any OEM EVO colour as well as custom colours as well.

EDIT- For the EVO rear wings we are using the absolute BEST clear PPG offers, its expensive but worth it- it is a very "clear" clear, no yellow or blue tint to it like some other clears on the market. I HIGHLY recommend using paint protection film on the leading edge of the wing here in Colorado to protect against the sandblasting we get in the winters and the gravel thrown on the roads in the summer. The XPEL product I like so much is not cheap, but is very very transparent, has an amazing amount of protection for the paint, and has a great warranty.
We also do clearbra/paint protection films using 3M and XPEL products.

We are in Aurora just off Colfax near 225.

We can repair most carbon hoods, especially if they are just cracking/peeling clearcoat.

Yeahhhhhh MAN! the insurance adjuster just left, signed off on the additional costs to thier original estimate including the $200 difference in the actual price of the bumper vs thier quote. Now all there is to do is to get the front buttoned up once the parts come in, wetsand and buff it, and away we go!
