I just smoked my clutch at bandimere and i was wondering where everybody is getting their clutches installed? I live in denver and would like to get it done locally if possible, but wouldn't mind traveling to Ft. Collins or the Springs...
Welcome to RMEVO! I see you noticed my reply on EvoM.
I recommend getting in touch with JustDSM (Justin) for this purpose, and while you're at it, you might as well have him tune you, too. Package deal FTW!
If Justin is busy, then I would suggest giving a call to Lucas at CarZ Performance. He participates on the forum, has an Evo, and treats the Evo Community very well.
I had mine done at Street Concepts a few weeks ago. He broke the nipples of my EGR solenoid on the back of the motor... but he fixed it with no problems. I'd recommend Tommy, great guy and stands behind his work. They had the best price when I was checking around also.
What was the price, mrich? I would think Justin would do it for no more than half of what any shop charges, but if they really are low, then that would be good to know.

I paid $600 for the install with fluids at Street Concepts... I ordered the clutch/flywheel online. They do have a pretty good deal on the ACT clutch and resurfacing the stock flywheel, but I forget what it was... maybe $1100, not really sure.
I was talking to Justin too since he tuned my car a while back, but he was TDY when I got it installed. I wanted to go up to FE Warren and have him help me do it in the hobby shop there. I would've actually attempted it myself if we had a hobby shop here on Buckley... it wasn't something I wanted to do with jackstands in the garage.
Ah, yeah, $600 is a lot, but not a lot compared to top shops around the country. The fluids alone are ~$120-130 if you get the Super DiaQueen (trans), DiaQueen LSD (t-case), and ATF III (ACD), so that puts the install at $470-480.
I'm surprised that was the best price around, but that's good to know. It costs that much and more back East where I used to live, too.
