Like i said it depends on your preference then, some top of the line parts are nice, but dont offer more performance then cheaper brands so the cost for me can't be justified. as far as tuning the evo you can use ecuflash for well over stock power. the program is free at openecu.org . All you need is a tactrix cable and knowledge to tune. Most tuners are using the same program for tuning the stock ecu with great results. Piggy-back and full stand alones are a thing of the past for most bolt -on and even full build cars.
what exactly are you going to be doing these mods for? auto-x? drag? street? stock class Time attack? Do you want a subtle look or a aggressive look? answer some of these and you can get a better idea of what you need in terms of parts. Once again why a MR? the Mr is a great car but the tranny will not hold up to big power if you plan on that one day. most people with MR's making major power, swap to a built 5spd tranny. less times to shift, and can hold big power. you should decide what your going to use the car for before you purchase something you wont use......
PM me if you have any questions. Once you answer the questions listed I can attempt to help you find good parts for good prices.
