1g blowoff valve

I have a friend of mine that is going to run his car at the track but his blowoff valve is leaking and he says he is low on cash I told him to use a first gen. dsm blowoff valve which he has in his garage. He is going to boost 24-25 psi on 100 oct. which he has suporting mods, which are buschur front mout, 3" turbo back exhaust,buschur intake,reflash, 660cc injectors,255 fuel pump,264,272 hks camshafts.

Can he use this blowoff valve and crush it or use the dejon tool 1g BOV (Air Bypass Valve) Leak Stop Kit
