I don't know about the sound, but a 3.5 exhaust will out flow 99% of all other exhausts available for the Evo today. If you can get away with it, you can't go too big with a turbo system's exhaust.
What is your horsepower goal that makes you consider this exhaust?

Well, I don't have a EVO but my friend bought this exhaust and we haven't installed it yet but are going to in a couple of hours. I was just wondering if anybody knew how it sounded.

One of my friends told me that the APS would be a bad choice b/c you would lose torque. I dont see how this is possible since it has a turbo and that would be good for the car. I can see how that could happen on a nat aspirated car, like it did on my ss camaro when I went straight pipes, but on a turboed car? Someone let me know what they think about his comment. Thanks.

You really can't go "too big" on a turbo car. The turbocharger it's self provides more than enough back pressure.

That's what I was thinking. I'm still debating if it's worth the extra 400 dollars for the 3.5" APS tbe. Mine's gonna be somewhat stock for a while. I think it's gonna be that or the AMS 3".

Even with a turbo able to support 600whp+, the improvement is negligible and the difference in sound is night and day. 3.5 & 4" exhaust sounds like absolute crap.
