Car running too rich?

I recently Installed test pipe and I noticed that black smoke from exhaust. Is my car running too rich? Should I buy safc or get flash?

All Evos run very rich from the factory when at full boost above 5500rpm. Yes, you need a tune...every Evo needs a tune, but we already told you that.

You can easily go to Dynoflash.com and read the instructions on how to send your ECU in for a mail-in flash. It costs $199, and you just have to wait for shipping. Dynoflash sends the ECU back overnight the same day he gets it. That is just one option for getting a flash. I do not recommend getting an SAFC.

You need to log it to see for sure, but chances are you do need to lean it out some.
If your comfortable logging and tuning yourself I say go with the AFC.
