I have been reading up and some say it throws a check engine with a test pipe and some dont say anything. If it does what do you guys use to correct it

We answered in the other thread. You will definitely get a CEL unless the TP you bought has a simulator built-in.

i put in a 02 extension from a company and i have never had the CEL come on for that.

Some test pipes even come with an o2 sim. My perrin test pipe did.

Mine didn't, but I had the extension specially set up, and never saw another CEL (caused by the removal of the cat) again.

Old thread but thought I could help out as its a common problem.

Ultimate Racing sells a 3'' testpipe with cel fix for 75.00.. (built in anti-fouler) its hard to go wrong if you can find one (lancershop.com has them)

You can build your anti foulers very easily so the 02 sensor reads further away from the exhaust... just search it

Whoa, don't ever spend that much for a CEL fix. It's like a $5 fix at the auto parts store...

75.00 is for the testpipe (includes cel fix) but yeah if you want to make your own... real cheap add on
