couple of noobie questions...

i just got a mbc and front motor mount installed and my car sounds a little different (a little louder and more aggressive i guess) only when i'm on throttle. is that normal or am i being too paranoid? the car feels and runs fine though. also, is it ok to run a mbc set at 20psi on stock exhaust and no flash? your help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Simon

Louder, meaning there's more interior noise, or the exhaust is louder, or the engine is louder, or the intake is louder? Louder how? Neither the MBC nor motor mount should affect how the car sounds.

20psi is stock boost, so yeah, that's fine.

The motor mount is much stiffer than stock, so it will channel more of the engine vibrations through the rest of the car, so maybe that's affecting how things sound, but it shouldn't be drastic.

It is DRASTIC in my car, so I don't see why it wouldn't be in yours. Stiffer motor mounts make a huge difference in the amount of engine noise that makes it into the cabin of the car.

You have an RS. My MR had no change in engine noise that my ear could detect. Do you have the Buschur front mount or the Powerflex? The Buschur is stiffer...

Yah, so the stiffer bushing in an RS would probably cause much more vibration and noise I would think.
