Downpipe that comes with heat protection for oil pan.

Ok...I saw this somewhere on some project EVO...it was either in a magazine or on the net...but I'm not sure.

Anyway, it was a 3" downpipe and with it, the manufacture also suppiled a self-adhesive heat protection for the oil pan.

Personally in my mind this shows that the manufacture is really looking down the line for reliability and good quality. So this is the exhaust I am probably going to get. Unless others also come with similar things.

Anybody know which exhaust I'm talking about...I'm sure somebody else saw this...or at least knows the brand.

And its not that its the heat-protector stuff I want...I could probably get that anywhere, Its the thought that the company would supply this with the exhaust, realizing that hot oil will effect the longetivity of the car...providing this shows me that the company is sort of in the next level of quality.

I usually wrap my down pipe with thermotech.

http://www.thermotec.com/

You can get this from advanced auto.

Had the same wrap on my GSX for over 3 years. A lot of people say it will hold moisture, Well when I did take it off there was no signs of corrosion on the STAINLESS downpipe.

I also had thermal warp on my old DP for over a year with no corrosion.

yea...I had wrap on mine too...all the way up the O2 housing (it was an O2 elim style)...no corrosion, but I guess the downpipe I saw is lost...ohh well.

I think it might have been the AMS, cause I thought I remembered it starting with an A and being an acronym...and that is the only one like that...but it doesn't seem to...so hmmm....idk

I have a lot to think about when getting a turbo back...and I'd kinda like to keep the lower tie braces...cause I'm more into the handling aspect of the EVO rather than the go fast...so that is leading me to think of the buschur...I just know I am not going to rush any parts onto my EVO...I'm going to spend the extra dollars and get everything done right.

The RMR 3" DP comes with a heat shield for the oil pan.
