Forge RS MIA??

So i have been trying to get my hands on a Forge RS BOV for five months now. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Buchur can't even get it. So what do I do. I hear the JDM MR DV is a very good blow off for my car. Buchur offered me an Evo 9 DV but I didn't know if it was the same thing. Any thoughts?

The Evo IX DV = JDM MR DV. They are the same and are very good. You can get used ones for $50-70.

If you want to find a Forge RS, try TTP-engineering.com.

I picked mine up at nolimitmotorsports for a very good price, check them out, they place the order through forge and it takes about 2 weeks for delivery but you can get it.

Cool thanks for all the input. Probably just get the IX DV then. What about the recirculation hardware? I'm not sure I have all the stuff they took off in order to put on the HKS.

Well, if you had an HKS attached to a flange welded onto a UICP, then it won't work unless you weld an opening on the UICP to accept a silicone hose that routes to the IX DV, or unless you weld a flange on the UICP that mates directly to the IX DV.

On the intake side, if you have the stock MAF pipe (intake-to-turbo), then it has a hole where you stick the side port of the IX DV and clamp it down. Or, if you have an aftermarket MAF pipe, it should have an outlet for this purpose that you were already using to recirculate the HKS or is plugged due to you being VTA. If you have a MAF pipe with no opening for the DV, then you will need to change it.

Okay I got the 9 DV. Here are some pics of the current set up. It looks like they took the hose from the MAF intake pipe and turned that whole section upside down to reroute the blow off to were it fits. Does this sound accurate?

Where your HKS is sitting now is pretty close to the stock location. Nothing is upside down and the hose running from the upper IC pipe to the BOV looks to be the stock hose.

You'll need to turn the hose so that the DV will sit close to the intake pipe and then run a short section of hose from the outlet to where that hole is plugged. This will be the correct installation.

I'd like to do it myself. Is there any write ups on installation anywhere?

Where can I get a piece of hose like that?

There's no installation write-up for this, because you're putting in a stock BOV. It should go in the stock location using the stock BOV-to-UICP hose. The hat of the IX DV should point sideways (not up towards the hood), which makes you put a certain outlet of the DV into the MAF pipe. That also makes you point the outlet of the DV that has the piston/valve towards the driver's side of the car. The bov-to-uicp hose connects to this end and then goes to the UICP.
