GSC cams

Hey. does anyone know if 272 GSC cams are good? and i dont think they come with cam gears.

you dont need gears. most people dont run them. I think the gsc's are a solid cam. I would also look at hks and kelford.

gsc are quite good cams but can suffer from 'phantom knock' (which isn't a problem to a decent tuner)

adjustable cam pulleys will be needed to find the true centre line

adjustable gears are nice but not needed on any of the evos. Most of the lope can be tuned out with ease. The evo IX's also have the mivec which helps with lope and most never get adjustable gears.

to get the most out of the cams they need to be fitted as to manufacturers specifications,

recently fitted some (good quality) hks 272's and with the verniers zero'd the cams were actually 7degrees off!........good job the pulleys were adjustable


without adjustable pulleys how would you get cams truely centred?
how could you move the torque/power to suit needs?
how could you overlap cams?
