When choosing an IC that is definatly something to consider. What good is having the largest and most dense core you can get, if you overheat? I'll give up some efficency to still have good flow to the radiator, but I drive in southern CA. Someone else living in Illinois doesn't have to.
There's a lot of good intercoolers out for Evos, but not all intercoolers are good for every Evo (is that corny or what ).
Bottom line it all comes down to individual needs.

I just check out the video about the intercooler and it's kind of funny....Most people know that most intercooler cores are similar in design and most work about the same...The difference is the pipes.....The shorter the pipes to the intake manifold, the better....with the heat from the engine, more pipe length means it will be warmer quicker......if the core works like it should, then the short the pipes the better...it's just logic....Buschur Racing makes a great one for a good price....you can check in out at: http://www.machevo.com/burafrinup.html
