Max HP on stock turbo

Hello, I have a 2005 evo VIII with few mods (Apexi 3" straight pipe, Apexi Air intake, and Agency power BOV(Installed)) and boost contr. not yet installed. What mods do I still need to push it to max with stock turbo?
And How much HP can I gain? thanks

I don't think you're in any position to worry about getting max power out of the stock turbo. You need to think about what you want to do with the car, how far you want to go, what you want to accomplish, how reliable you want it, what sort of fuel you want to run daily, whether or not you want to run alky injection, what form of tuning, etc etc.

So far, your mods are not good at all. I don't know what 3" straight pipe means - do you mean a cat-back? Having an intake without tuning is awful. The Agency Power BOV is 100% not recommended. Not sure what MBC you got, but hopefully it's one of the BEST two: Hallman Pro or Forge UNOS. You don't want to increase boost without also having a fuel pump to supply fuel and a flash to tune for all the mods. No intakes without a tune. Cat-backs only do about 10whp - need a full turboback exhaust. Best BOVs for the Evo on stock MAF are the JDM MR DV and Forge RS.

After doing all of the above and getting a tune like a flash, you'll be at the basic stage 1. From there, to maximize the stock turbo, you would need:

- Cams
- IC piping (lower mainly)
- o2 housing
- ported manifold
- ported turbine housing
- alky injection (or race gas)
- FMIC
- full custom tune

All of that with an aggressive tune on 93oct+alky or straight race gas would put you around 370-400whp depending on how well the car is wrenched and tuned.

I have a full turboback exhaust, and Iam looking to tune up about 320-380HP on 92oct. So I just need Fuel pamp, safc, 580 injectors, cold intercooler pipes, flash, and that should get me to about 340, Right?

First of all, you can't refer to HP, because that's at the crank, and we can't measure nor estimate that. You can only measure WHP through a dyno. Secondly, what type of dyno are you referring to? This makes a big difference, since dynos read differently. Thirdly, our stock injectors are 560, so I don't think there are any 580s on the market. Fourthly, if you meant 680s, that works ok with an SAFC, but why spend close to $600 on SAFC+injectors when you also listed a flash? Not sure if you got confused, but the SAFC and flash are both tuning devices - you only need a flash, and you don't want injectors on the stock turbo, especially when you only have basic mods. Fifthly (is that even a word?), "cold" IC pipes don't do much - only the lower IC pipe helps while the upper IC pipe is for bling purposes. With the mods you have and adding the mods you listed, you'll make about 290-300whp on 92oct.

Read my post again above to see what you need to make big power. To get 340, you'll need everything I listed for stage 1 plus cams and probably an o2 housing + LICP.

Thanks, Iam new to evo so I dont know much. What would be the best and cheap cams for me to buy on stock turbo?
And What is LICP means?

Ok, What if I replace stock cams to 262i/264e or 272i/264e cams, and get Walbro 255HP Fuel Pump, and Flash. Would that be correct?

total mods:
Apexi 3"/4.5" tip full turboback exhaust (Have)
Apexi Air Intake (Have)
Agency Power BOV (Have)
HallMan Boost contr (Have)
---------
262/264 or 272i/264e Cams (Will Have)
Evolution Stainless Steel 02 Housing (Will Have)
Walbro 255HP Fuel Pump (Will Have)
and Flash (Will Have) ::: Thats more than $1000
Would that get me 300WHP+?

Bah, the mods that I said were stg1 will get you 300whp. The new list of mods you gave would give you a chance at 330-340whp with a custom flash.

Just get GSC 272/272s cams for $450 and a regular SS o2 housing, then get custom Dynoflashed in Seattle in September. You'll be golden after that.

Did you mean a regular 16g? If you did, it isn't. It's basically a big 16g (TD05HR-16G6).
"The compressor inducer is a little larger (0.01") than the "big" 16G... Max flow is better than the 16G "large wheel". Efficiency is much better than the 16G "large wheel"." Go to technical/compressor flow maps here;
http://www.stealth316.com/0-frames.htm
The IX came with a bigger compressor housing than the VIII's for even more efficency.
