It uses a solenoid to power the recirc/vent valve open or closed.

my clutch chatter annoys me more than the stock valve with a cone filter but ill agree it does get annoying sometimes when you are trying to talk and its like vrrr pshhhhhh with the stocker.

glad warr talked me outta a bov.

I just replaced my 4 yr old stock BOV. I couldn't boost past 22-23 psi. Picked up a new Samco unit from AMS. My car is a different animal now. Lightning boost response. Better thottle response. Even shifts smoother. I can't figure out how such a relatively inexpensive part makes such a night and day difference. I'll head back to the track for the real test. Looking for lucky 11's.

Gives me an idea. Some kind of servo to control the tension on the BOV Change a few things around and you could control surging on the highway from inside the car.
