New with evo's could use some help

Looked around for the answer but didnt find anything helpful . Will the car need tuning for every little mod done to the car. Wanted to do intake , TBE , Boost controller and gauge, will i need tuning or will these mods not make the car throw a CEL and run like crap ( cough cough SUBARU's ) or will i be ok ??

you dont need a tune but to get the most out of those mods a tune would be necessary. subies tend to be rich off factory tune so any mod you add and itll start acting funny. Alot of people say wait till you get more mods some say if you get an intake you should tune but youll be fine. Just DONT up the boost higher than stock untill you get a tune seeing as you want a boost control dont get too happy...I hope i answered your question.

there are plenty of threads with this question answered in a round about way. the basic set up before a tune on the 03-05's is a TBE, Intake, BOV, 255lph fuel pump, boost controller, boost gauge, and tune.

You will not need a tune after every little modification no ..Simple answer.

you should at least get it checked after certain mods just to make sure its runing safe.


and you will almost definately need a remap after changing the stock airfilter to a open induction setup (they screw around with the maf)
