You tell us. What do you want to accomplish? The AMS GT35R setup seems to be the most proven big HP setup on the streets right now. All those videos of that Evo spanking everything under the sun is with the AMS GT35R built/installed/tuned by AMS. I don't know what turbo the Vishnu package is using...it doesn't say in the description. As for the other AMS packages, I'd recommend steering clear of the other kits (3071/3065)...people just have not been happy with the lag as compared to the actual HP output.

Exactly.
What are you going to use for fuel control with the AMS?
How much are you willing to spend?

My $.02;
I've never trusted any kit, package, whatever... I'm afraid they're going to sneak in a sh!tty part.

Then drop your car off at AMS and let them do the GT35R kit...or better yet, maybe the GT42R like Al...

Dont' forget that to get the most out of the GT35R and GT42R you need to run race gas. Those turbos are going to suck for street use. But if its max hp you want then look no further than the GT35R, that seems to be the most proven turbo at this point on our cars with some streetability

Well, did your criteria change? Earlier, you said money is not a problem and that you wanted the fastest Evo possible (0-60, 1/4, everything), and to do this, you have to make sacrifices. In this case, going with such a big turbo makes daily driving a pain, because it takes so long to spool and requires full time race gas to run the boost that makes it super-powerful. If you do one of these GT35Rs and want to drive daily on pump gas, you'll have to turn the boost down and have like 450whp instead of 600whp. If you want to go really fast and still have SOME low-end power and quicker spoolup, then you would need to also get a stroker engine (2.3?), but then you sacrifice high rpm power.

Right now, it's really best to either stick with the stock turbo, which you can get up to 400whp and be completely streetable with low/mid-range power, or go with the gt35r for extreme top-end power. There aren't really any other turbos that are proven as much as these two...

I'm not trying to put anyone down put the reality is as i read up on a few posts i see almost everyone wants the most horsepower possible. I can pretty much guarantee everyone can stay with the stock turbo and be perfectly happy with the output. Really consider what the costs will be and ask yourself have you ever been in a 400whp car. Do you really know how fast that is. Just thought i'd throw in my .02 cents.

I agree, but some people want more. I have not gotten to 400whp, so I can't imagine how that feels, but I know my car was damn fast at 300whp and again at 340whp (360wtq). 400whp/400wtq on the stock turbo with nearly instantaneous spool sounds lovely to me.
