Replacing Downpipe

Hi
If I want to go max on td05 turbo, do I need to replace stock downpipe?
Would it get me more power?

You need to change it, of course. Was there really any question?

It just looks that way... but I was wondering my self why I post this. But its not about me, I give people advise what I know. Ofcorse you make think the bigger exhaust the more you gain, but it doesnt work that way! if you know what I mean.

That's how it should be. We talk about what we know.
... and getting back on topic, I know the stock downpipe sucks. It has the worst crushed bends and the smallest diameters in the whole stock system.
I felt the best gains (buttdyno ) and turbo respose from upgrading the downpipe alone then from the testpipe and catback combined.
Take off the stock downpipe and look inside, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Definitely replace the dp. I felt the largest butt dyno gains in topend and spool time from replacing the dp.
