walbro 255LPH 180 WTF?

I ordered the pump, went to put it on and the connectors are 180 from where they need to be. And it just depends on how you look at it to if the bottom is backwards or the top is. This should just be a snap right? Or what the heck am I missing?

the red arrow is why the pump has to go in that way, but than the mount that holds the pump in does not fit. so what am i missing?

I think you have the wrong pump. Where did you get it from?

I understand the whole process/concept for the install i did mine in 20 minutes, but that was with the correct pump.

ebay, but everywhere i look they all look the same. where should i go to get the "right" one? and i guess i will put this one back on ebay

go to authorized dealer for walbro pumps. tell them what you need and that way if its not right take it back to them. or try to reuse your filter not the one that came with the pump you bought. I dont think this will fix your issue but its worth another look. Are you located near any good shops you trust?

there are two types of wablro fuel pump in each of the series.... for the 255 is GSS341
GSS342

ok, that is useful informatoin. so which one do i need then? i didnt see anything on the one i have
