well, today i learned after having my car less then 2 months its had 15k worth of warranty parts and labor done to it, and i also learned that when the mechanic hands you your piston in a ziplock bag, nothing good can come from it so now im on the hunt for a short blaok with a head, perferably a 2.3l with a race head i do like the ams 2.3l but thats really the only one ive seen used, but the piston disinigrated, and gouged a hole in the side of the cylinder wall, so shes done,
i dont have any pictures yet but the whole piston is literally in a thousand pieces none bigget then a marble, ill get pictures when it gets pulled id like a 2.3l cause i plan on putting 600hp into it, but dont we all? and i like the 35r but a 2.0 would take forever to spool, and i like being different, im not sure how the piston shattered but theres a gouge in the cylinder wall about a 1/4 inch think so id like to take the time since the engine is out why not build it? this will be the 3rd engine this car has been through and im not wanting to make it a 4th
Contact cbrdspeedfactory.com and talk to chad about there 335r turbo with a built 2.0. 2.3ls aren't bad but everyone i know that has one has issues. I am going to do a built 2.0l br head and cbrd's bbk turbo this summer
