wheel bearing noise?

hey just got my evo 4 on the road and there is a really bad bearing noise comin from the nsf goes away when turning left and is there when turing right. i put the car on to the ramp at work thinking i would be an easy thing to diag but couldnt really hear it in the air. just wounderin before for i spend ££££ on one if this is a common fault or if there is sowt else that would make the noise. wheel balance is fine

Mine is bad right now and i tried to replace it yesterday. What a PITA. My advice to you is to get it replaced as soon as you can to avoid the wheel bearing welding itself to the axle. With the wheel off the ground you can check to see if it's loose by pushing and pulling on your tire, like grab the top of the tire and push, pull, push, pull. You'll be able to hear it that way.

cheers replaced the bearing the day and its much better now
