bg syncro shift II

has anybody used bg snycro shift II before. what would be recomended.

I have used it, and my trans blew while racing with this in it. The fluid wasn't the only reason, but it certainly didn't help matters. The recommended fluid is the OEM fluid:

- Mitsu Super DiaQueen in the trans
- Mitsu DiaQueen LSD Oil in the t-case and rear diff

I've used BG II for about 12 months, Redline for 12, OEM for 6 and Royal Purple for 6. They all worked just fine for me except the Royal Purple. I will never use that in my trans again. After talking with John Shepperd at Sheptrans.com and Jon Ripple at TRE they both recommend BGII or Redline MT90 if you don't want to stay OEM. And that is for stock and their rebuilds.

As recommended by RRE; regular BG Syncoshift (not the synthetic/BGII). I've been using it for over 20K miles with no problems.

Shep recommends the Redline for certain applications but not the BG II. After many many many tests, the OEM fluid is recommended the most in the Evo community unless you have a specific racing application that requires a specific type of fluid, and in that case, it should be changed frequently.
