Evo X MR to GSR

hows it goin,
i own an evo x mr, im pushin about 300 awhp at the moment. within a month or two im gunna be somewhere near 350 - 375 awhp. i know the mr sst tranny cant hold 350+ so should i change out the tranny with a racing clutch or try to sell the car and keep my bolt ons and get a gsr? bolt ons include = custom intake system $280, ets catback xhaust $1000, ets downpipe and test pipe $350? boost controller $100, and a road tune $280.

i dont think a 5spd swap to a MR is as easy as it used to be.....maybe you should wait until getrag lets people crack open the MR tranny.....after this ban is lifted expect performance clutch packs similar to whats available for the M3's wit the auto tranny...... hold out if you can

Check out this link Mr sst upgrades underway - evolutionm.net. Also your going to want to look into an trans cooler cause they tend to have a overheating problem.

Yes. Getrag made the sst transmission for mitsubishi and they have an agreement that if here are any failures to have them be sent directly to them for inspection and they also have an agreement not to open or service the trans in anyway.

Right now getrag is only offering the SST as a sealed unit. Which means no one can work on them if it breaks you get a new one. Once this restriction is lifted they will let people into them and offer new clutch packs for higher power. Kinda like a BMW SMG tranny on a M3
