Ok well theres been a bit of a myth i guess you could say floating around here between my friends and i, i would appreciate it if you guys could clear it up for me. Now lets say i get a flat in my 03 evo 8 now in order to prevent drivetrain damage i would have to replace all four tires because the uneven ware between the tires being that 3 were old and 1 was new would cause the differentials to have problems and possibly be destroyed. I dont know if this is true or not i tend to have an open mind my friends all say that its true so if you guys could give me more insight to this i would really appreciate it.
It's not a myth. The only way to replace that tire is the have it "shaved" down to equal tread depth as the rest of the tires. This is not something all shops are willing to do or able to do, but there are some out there that know what they are doing.
Are you talking about the stock A048 Advans? Since you have an evo 8 I doubt it since they don't last long but replacing those tires is a nightmare on your wallet.
No i dont have stock tires and rims i bought it with 18'' volks with some pirelli tire on it. I will be replacing them before they need to be because i want to get some good griping tires on there but not till i got money in the bank.
