What is the recommended fluids I should use for my transmission when I replace my clutch in the future? Also, what can i upgrade while I am in the process of my clutch replacement?
RRE recommends BG Syncroshift (the regular one/non-synthetic) in the tranny and Red Line's Heavyweight Shock Proof Gear Lube in the transfer case. I've been using both for over 30K and never had a problem. http://www.machevo.com/bgsynchroshift.html http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclfluids.htm
When you do the clutch, throw in a stainless steel clutch line and remove the fluid restrictor in the slave cylinder.
I have used both BG syncroshifts and both work great. I currently use Redline MT-90 which is recommened by Shep and TRE (TRE built my trans) As far as the transfer case I was warned by TRE that the wax particles in the Redline Shockproof series can clog up the passages in the case over time and cause damage. Diaqueen was highly recommended for daily driving.
