Front engine mount necessity?

I've seen some posts discussing the front engine mount bushing on an Evo X (which is my ride). But I haven't read what problem exists which necessitates a change. If there is a problem, does it occur after some miles, from Day One, or exactly what symptom would I look for. I'm pretty satisfied with the X and enjoy the entire package. Only mod so far is a Cosworth drop-in filter.

the motor mounts do wear out over time, the rubber breaks down and you get more engine movement which is bad for shifting and driving hard. I have a blox front roll stop in mine and shifting became easier, the sound of my engine changed a little, and its just a better setup. For the $65 i sepnt on the part and the 20 min it took for the install, I would say it was a great mod choice and i will be doing all the mounts on my X once i pick it up this spring.

Thanks, I guess I will have to check it out, including the number of mounts as I should replace all mounting hardware at the same time.
