5spd or 6spd? I'm pretty sure this info is available on the Mitsu website. They currently have the IX ratios at the forefront, but if I were to go find the 03-05 ratios for you, that's where I'd start looking.

This is out of my '04 manual;
Transaxle gear ratio;
1st 2.928
2nd 1.950
3rd 1.407
4th 1.031
5th 0.720
Reverse 3.416
Final reduction ratio (Differential gear ratio) 4.529
Does anyone know for sure if the '04's and '05's use the same 5 speed?

Here is a chart I made showing speed in each gear of the EVO VIII 5 speed transmission. These are NOT the same as the 5 speed in the EVO IX.

And here is the EVO VIII MR chart. I have no idea if the ratios are the same for the IX MR.

so if we had a cosworth head (to take the RPMs) and enough power we could see 225 mph.

it'd be really illegal, but 200+ would be pretty cool in an evo
