Help with my tranny/clutch problem... - Mitsubishi Evolution Forums: Mitsubishi Lancer Forum

Hello , recently my car has been making some weird noises...first one is when my clutch is not engaged it makes a rattling sound coming from the tranny. i think that is my throw out bearing if im not correct....now second, when i go into first gear driving it clicks...maybe my axles??? in every gear the transmission whines throughout the gear... any ideas? any help would be appreciated.

before just guessing your problem you may want to have it actually diagnosed. i see your from the midatlantic. where are you at there are some good shops in this area. you could need a tranny rebuild and a diff but you wont know until its actually looked at.

yeah im getting it diagnosed this week, im in the Raleigh area in NC, i heard about this shop called Phantasm that is supposed to be good with Evo's, we'll see tho.

def see what they say because it could be a major problem or something very minor.

my transmission started to do that and then it stopped. and then my clutch went out this past weekend.

Hey i have the exact same problem. if your car gets hella loud and rumbly try going past 80 mph if it stops then it has something to do with your axles, and the noise when your on the clutch is your imput shaft bearring but if your still under warranty just take it to the dealership makes everything easier hahah
