Tranny comparison DSM, EVO VIII, EVO IX and EVO MR

This is assuming you are running stock sized tires on each car.

For gas milage considerations, here is a break down top gear RPM at various cruiseing speeds on the highway.

speed . . . AWD DSM. . . . . EVO VIII. . . . . EVO IX. . . . . EVO MR

55 . . . . . . . . 2425 . . . . . . . . 2365 . . . . . . . 2500 . . . . . . .2305

60 . . . . . . . . 2645 . . . . . . . . 2580 . . . . . . . 2730 . . . . . . .2515

65 . . . . . . . . 2865 . . . . . . . . 2795 . . . . . . . 2955 . . . . . . .2720

70 . . . . . . . . 3085 . . . . . . . . 3010 . . . . . . . 3185 . . . . . . .2930

75 . . . . . . . . 3310 . . . . . . . . 3230 . . . . . . . 3410 . . . . . . .3140

80 . . . . . . . . 3530 . . . . . . . . 3440 . . . . . . . 3640 . . . . . . .3350

85 . . . . . . . . 3750 . . . . . . . . 3660 . . . . . . . 3865 . . . . . . .3560

And for full throttle acceleration considerations, here is a break down of what speed you are going at the top of each gear just befor shifting to the next higher gear (assuming shifting at stock redline of 7,000 RPM) and what RPM you enter the next higher gear at.

Gear . . . . AWD DSM. . . . . . . EVO VIII. . . . . . . . EVO IX. . . . . . . . EVO MR

1st . . . . . 34.4 (3800) . . . . . 40.0 (4700) . . . . 42.1 (4900) . . . .39.8 (4700)

PS: Anyone wants the Exel file I used for calculating the speeds (based on tire diameter, gear ratio's, and final drive ratio) PM me with your e-mail address.
