Got smoked by a mazdaspeed3

I was really suprised those speeds are quick... I was looking at the specs though 280tq, 263hp and 3,180lbs and he had a cia and a forge bpv. we did 2 35mph rolls and 1 45mph roll he got me by 2 car lengths.. I NEED TO START MODDING!!.lol he said his freind with boost control turbo back is makeing like 310hp at the front wheels! (i bet traction is an issue) we don't have that problem..

An actual track...and there is no form of racing that goes in a straight line from a roll, so remember that. Power-to-weight ratio is what matters when you're already rolling, so you should not be surprised by this result. I'm guessing your X MR is over 3600lbs with you in it and making ~260whp. Removing traction from the equation does nothing but hurt you.

Well duh, tell him that's the point. If you raced an N/A car, you wouldn't remove your turbo to make it even right? He chose to buy a FWD car with a lot of power, so he must suffer the consequences. Our AWD is a lot of extra weight and drivetrain loss, so "from a roll" puts US at a disadvantage by not allowing us take advantage of the things that cripple us.

I told himn what u said about the track, he said to watch on youtube where the stock mazdaspeed3 or in germany its called "mazda 3 mps" at Nurgenburg completes the track in 8 minutes 39 seconds..lol I watched it pretty impressive for a front driver.. So a roll is disavantage for a 4whd?? also update AMS fmic next mod!!

Heck yeah it's a disadvantage for us. The AWD system causes much more drivetrain loss than a FWD while also being heavier.

The Speed3 can't keep up with a stock Evo in any racing event.

True I did try running Nurgenburg on forza with my 600hp MR I coun't get below 9 minutes 50sec.. So 8 min 39sec is damm impressive... but I'm not a professional driver though..lol

got ams fmic,upgraded ic pipeing and intake. now hes only gets me by a little over 1 car lenght! definatly and improvment! Next is a a lightass tbe with high flow cat!
