E85 concerns

I just watched this yesterday.

So any thouhts on this?

I know the ecu isn't an issue because we tune the cars for the e85 but what about the rest?

None of that has been applicable to the Evo. People have been running it for a while now - running it hard - and have had no such issues. No way to know the long-term effects yet (3+ years), but so far it's working very well.

I also saw that episode. I felt so bad for Goss. Having to LIE like that. I really believe he had to lie. People have been using E85 in Brazil and other countries for over 20 years now. Just interesting to see that. Check out E85 Conversion Kits Change2E85.com Interesting info there.

they dont use E85 in Brazil. they do have their own fuel there but its made from sugar cane instead of corn. but yes they have been using that fuel for a long time there, most of my parents cars that i can remember while growing up ran on that fuel.

also, i have been on E85 in my evo for a month or so, no problems at all so far.

E85 can be made from not only corn and sugar cane but many other things just not one or the other!
