JDM MIVEC map

Hi, folks. I've been playing/logging several tunes with varying degrees of aggressiveness. To remind those unfamiliar with my priorities, I'm more than willing to forgo max power gains for driveability and reliability. My car was originally tuned in the Summer on a very hot/humid day. Now, it's ~40F - almost 50 degrees lower. The tunes had custom MIVEC maps, and I substituted the JDM MIVEC map just for the fun of it.

Regardless of the nature of the tune, the JDM map made the most difference in driveability. I'm extremely impressed and I'm anxious to try tweaked JDM maps. I'm totally blown away by the torque off the line (during "normal" street driving, ie. no launching). I'm seeing knock counts of 1-2 on the most aggressive maps at ~1.45cm/kg per the factory gauge. I highly recommend the JDM MIVEC map for those who have not tried it.

Al comments/hints.tips are more than welcome!

Is anyone else running the JDM MIVEC map? What are your impressions?

It's a very good foundation and works rather well as is.

Are you running the stock JDM map, or have you tweaked it a bit?

I've tweaked it quite a bit for even more low end response, 6000ft altitude, and my Cosworth cams.

Do you have any hits/tips? My car is almost stock and I don't live at high altitude. I'd love even more low-end response. Thanks.

Expand the JDM maps high advance into the lower load columns. Maintain the general "structure" of the JDM map, but just extend it some.
