Hey everyone
I have a 2003 Evo that I auto X and take to the track a couple of times a year. I,ve got Works camber plates, rear sway bar and clutch. I like how all the parts perform except the clutch which works fine for performance driving but is a little hard to modulate for street driving. Now my problem. I have 58k miles on the odo and am noticing a miss or hesitation on hard acceleration. Around 4000 rpm under full boost the engine will stop just for a second then rev some more then stop and so on untill I back of the gas. It's not like hitting the rev limiter. I changed the plugs but the problem persists. Is it the boost controler/pop off valve or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you checked your timing belt you should replace that at 60,000. also make sure you are not missing out with the spark, this will kill your engine.

I don't think it's the timing belt, though I should replace it. The engine will rev to red line with no problems as long as I don't get on the boost too hard. This also makes me think the spark is OK. Thanks for the suggestions.
