Howdy doody

Hey guys.

I just got an 06 MR a couple months ago.
This seems to be the only local Evo forum.

I have a Hallman MBC on right now.
Buschur TBE & Intake in the mail.
But that's all I have and will have for probably a little while -- pain in the ass to mod and make payments at the same time

oh well.

Joel, glad to have you! Yes, we are the only Evo site in the RM area, so you came to the right place.

Great choice on the Hallman MBC + BR TBE and intake. All you need after that is a boost gauge and a nice custom flash (tune) from Justin, our local tuner. Your IX with those mods will be a beast...

Thanks Warr - Yeah I forgot to mention that would have been my next mod. It's a very cheap 20+ HP if you ask me

Roughly $250 for the equipment and the flash isn't too bad eh!
Better than $1200 or so for TBE & Intake for roughly the same if not even less lol. Won't be long before I'm in debt haha

Ah, well, had you gotten the Warrtalon package from Buschur, it would have been $1270 total for the TBE, gauge, pod, MBC, and flash. However, that's a Buschur flash through the mail or email, and now you'll be getting a custom tune locally for cheap, so it's still a good deal.

20HP is on the very low end of what you'll gain with a custom flash on those mods. I would expect not only 20 WHEEL HP, but probably closer to 40whp. You also don't need any equipment to get flashed, although it is definitely a good idea to get the stuff for yourself.

Oh well I thought the general gain was about 20HP & 30TQ.
And I just mean the cord you need to hook from computer to ECU, that's like $70 or so.

You seem to be the only one who posts on here Warr.

I post the most, because it's my site (the RMEVO part anyway), but we're growing quickly. We just got it going late last year...

Yeah, the cable is $90, but you still don't need it to get tuned. That's only if you plan to do your own stuff like switching between tunes or tuning yourself.

The last thing they'd ever notice is the flash. The only worry would be the actual mods.

Still, though, I am a proponent of having the cable and software along with multiple maps, so I agree with you doing it - just making sure you know it's not required.

Understood.
I only have very light mods and don't plan on doing much modding to the car. Not for awhile at least. So I want everything to be easily changed back to stock if necessary.
