aftermarket headunit trim kit

Im trying to put an aftermarket mp3 player into my EVO IX. I went to bestbuy and asked them about a single DIN trim kit and harness but they only had the harness. Has anyone made the install without one? Or is it sold somewhere? Thanks for the help.

Hey i work at bestbuy in the car audio dept. Just to let you know the lancer evo only requires a harness for aftermarket radio installs because its only a din opening. Depending on the radio you have you may need an aftermarket trim ring kit. Bestbuy does carry those but you shouldnt need one. Im putting in my radio this week that I got for christmas. Ill let you know how it goes!
